How to redeem your Epic Pass benefits at Hakuba Valley
- Show your Epic Pass at the designated ticket window of any Hakuba Valley snow resort.
- You may be asked to present a photo ID (e.g. driver’s license or passport) to confirm your identity.
- Receive a complimentary 5 consecutive day Hakuba Valley ticket for Epic Pass holders.
About the Hakuba Valley 5 consecutive day ticket
- This ticket is valid for 5 consecutive days from the first day of use.
- This ticket allows access to all resorts in Hakuba Valley. You can ski and ride at an unlimited number of resorts each day.
- No deposit is required.
- This ticket can only be used by the Epic Pass holder to whom it was issued. It cannot be shared among family, friends, or others.
- This ticket cannot be reissued, is not available for resale, and is non-transferable and non-refundable.
- This ticket is not valid for night skiing or riding.
Can I ride the Hakuba Valley Shuttle Bus with my HV 5 consecutive day ticket?
Yes. You can ride the shuttle bus free of charge with a valid HV 5 consecutive day ticket. However, the first day of this ticket will be counted upon the first use, whether for skiing or simply for the shuttle. Please keep in mind the expiry date and that it will not be valid for night shuttles.

Hakuba Valley Season Pass holders and designated Hakuba Valley resort season pass holders will receive a 50% discount off of then-current lift ticket prices for 1-day lift tickets at all Vail Resorts (VR)-owned and operated resorts.

Which Epic Pass products are excluded from Hakuba Valley benefits?
All other Epic Pass products, including but not limited to the Epic Day Pass and Military Epic Pass are excluded from Hakuba Valley benefits.Local Pass, and Epic Australia Pass are eligible for Hakuba Valley benefits.
Do excluded Epic Pass products include any benefits or discounts at Hakuba Valley?
No.

No. Epic Pass service discounts are only valid at Vail Resorts-owned and operated resorts.

No. Epic Pass alliance benefits can be used any time during the winter operating season.
As an Epic Pass holder, can I give my complimentary ticket to my friends or family?

No. The regular Hakuba Valley 5-Day Pass is not a consecutive day ticket and has a longer validity period.
What age is a child in Hakuba Valley?
A child is anyone 6-12 years of age.
Ages 13+ are defined as adult.
Hakuba Valley offers free entry for those under the age of 6.
Can I get a free HV 5 consecutive day ticket for my child under the age of 6?
No. There is no free HV ticket for children under 6. Please take your child to any Hakuba Valley resort ticket window to receive a free day pass for them.

No. Hakuba Valley benefits are valid during the Northern Hemisphere winter season that follows the Southern Hemisphere winter during which you used your Epic Australia Pass.

Yes. Please bring your Epic Pass confirmation and photo ID to a designated Hakuba Valley resort ticket window to redeem your complimentary 5-day ticket. Your photo must be uploaded and the release of liability must be completed for your Season Pass to be active.
I have not received my Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass yet. Can I get one printed in Hakuba Valley?

Where is Hakuba Valley?
Hakuba Valley is located in the northern region of Nagano Prefecture, which is located in the middle of mainland Japan. Hakuba Valley is about 200 km (125 miles) northwest of Tokyo, at the base of the Northern Japan Alps.
How can I access Hakuba Valley?
A shinkansen bullet train and a connecting express bus will take you from Tokyo to Hakuba Valley in as little as 2 hours and 50 minutes. During the snow season, direct shuttle buses and shared taxis run between Hakuba Valley and the major international airports such as Haneda and Narita in Tokyo, and Chubu Centrair in Nagoya.

When is the Hakuba Valley skiing and snowboarding season?
Skiing and snowboarding season in Hakuba Valley typically begins around late November. Depending on snow conditions, the opening dates of our resorts may differ. The peak season is from mid-December to late March. Resorts are open daily. Goryu, Hakuba 47, Happo, and Tsugaike are open for spring skiing and snowboarding until the beginning of May.
